Please read all of this! There’s unexpected info at the end.
Thursday at Kapiolani Park!
Our first audiobook walk.
Meet at the bandstand (front and center) at 6 for a voluntary group photo. We’ll start walking at 6:15 and go to 7:15. Then we’ll head to @barefootbeachcafe for food, drinks, and a hang. Or just a hang!
IF THERE’S SOMETHING GOING ON AT THE BANDSTAND, MEET US BACK AND CENTER! BEHIND THE LAST ROW OF SEATS!
We’ll start together, but please walk at your own pace for your own duration. You can peel off at any time and meet us back at the bandstand or at Barefoot Cafe.
PLEASE NOTE (thanks, Aja!). Thursday is Juneteenth, and there will be activities in the park (close to Kaimana Beach, probably) at at the Shell.
We don’t know how crowded the park will be or how easy it will be to find parking, but let’s embrace the spirit of the day and maintain celebratory attitudes! If parking at the park is rough, try the zoo or the area around Monsarrat Ave. Remember, there are two lots on the Diamond Head side, near the rec building (if that’s what it is). Street parking on Kapahulu in front of the zoo is free beginning at 6.
